Developers Willem and Danny became ‘purple’. Why?

Willem and Danny are developers from Let's Go Purple's development team. The team, which currently consists of five professionals, develops innovative solutions in the field of VoIP telephony, cloud contact centers, and unified communications.
Why did they become Purple? And most importantly, why are they staying Purple?

Both men feel in place and valued. The relationship with colleagues is excellent, and the company offers good working conditions. In addition to that, there are plenty of social and fun events. But as true developers, they see this as the ‘packaging' while it revolves around the contents. We interviewed both gentlemen on this topic, and they talked about it passionately.

What does the development team do?

The Development team is responsible for developing new and innovative Purple services and products. Examples include tools related to our telephony services, which optimize the accessibility of organizations, improve customer engagement, and increase the flexibility of communication channels.  There is a big demand in the market, and Purple is responding to this. We do this by developing solutions that are built using the latest technology, enabling the latest functionalities and integrations.

The noticeable and distinctive feature of Purple solutions compared to competing products is that the performance is much better. This is because Purple has no legacy software or systems, so there are no legacy problems either.

Motivating

The situation of our customers' telephony, accessibility, and various communication channels is often inflexible, unstable, and complex. Our solutions aim to remove these obstacles, greatly improving the user experience and increasing capabilities. We clearly see the positive impact because we know our customers so well. That is highly motivating.

What technologies do you work with?

As Purple, we are looking into the future and only work with the latest technologies. For example, we work closely with Microsoft. We build solutions using Microsoft technology.

For our latest solution, which we are building on the new Azure Communication Services (ACS), Purple is involved in the Microsoft tab program for ACS. In this process, we passed on several requests to build certain features that were realized by Microsoft. [RJ1] This collaboration will expand as our products move into further stages of readiness.

Call queues and auto attendants

Another recent and significant development is the launch of our own Purple Assistant: a smart number management tool, also known as DID management. Many organizations underestimate the management of their telephony environment, including landline and cell phone numbers. Purple Assistant (PA) has been specially developed to simplify number management. You can use it to manage phone number blocks, assign phone numbers to users and address books, and manage call queues and auto attendants. We ensured all of this can be done from within Microsoft Teams. We have always made speed and simplicity a high priority here, and security. Users are very enthusiastic, and we are proud of that. We are also proud because our tool is truly unique in the marketplace, and we continue to develop it.

Growing team

Because Purple is growing and the market demand for stable solutions is increasing, our development team is also growing. This creates a very pleasant and positive dynamic. Naturally, the demand also generates plenty of challenges. To take on these challenges, we always match the people best suited for the job. This way, we can use our talents, which feels empowering. An additional advantage is that this way, as individuals and as a team, we are growing in the right direction. Growing is also supported by courses, workshops etc. we can attend. So we are growing as a team and individually.

Staying Purple

At Purple it's just right. We work hard on solutions the market demands and we use state-of-the-art techniques to create unique products. There is also plenty of room for sociability, a close-knit team and an eye for development. In short, we will remain Purple for some time to come!
